Anjana Gadgil Wikipedia, BBC, Parents, Wiki, Instagram, Biography -: The UK-based BBC apologized after a news anchor said that the IDF was “happy to kill children” during an interview with former prime minister Naftali Bennett on Wednesday night.

“The Israeli military is calling this a military operation, but we now know that young people are being killed, four of them under the age of 18 – is that really what the military set out to do?” The host of BBC asked.
Bennett retorted, “Quite the contrary. Eleven people died, all of them militants. They are accountable for some young terrorists’ decision to carry firearms. Over 50 Israelis have been slain in the last 12 months, frequently by terrorists who were recruited, outfitted, and sent to kill Israelis from Jenin.
Jenin has unfortunately become the hub of terrorism, therefore we were forced to enter this nasty hornet’s nest and eliminate the terrorists. “In this instance, every Palestinian who died was a terrorist.”The unusual way in which Gadgil answered was by declaring, “Terrorists, but children – the Israeli forces are happy to kill children.” If the Palestinian teen is present, what is he firing at your family? Bennett asked. They are considered children by the UN, the presenter shot back.
The BBC apologized after receiving “comments and complaints” over the interview, particularly from Jewish organizations. The BBC has accurately and completely covered these events across all of its platforms, including the BBC News channel.

The United Nations raised the issue of how the Jenin operation affected kids and teenagers. According to a statement from the BBC’s Director-General’s office, Tim Davie, “While this was a fair topic to discuss in the interview, we regret that the language used in this line of inquiry was improper and poorly stated.”
An “assertion such as “the Israeli army is pleased to kill children” cannot possibly meet the standards of journalistic probity that the BBC is known for,” stated Rabbi Menachem Margolin, the chairman of the European Jewish Association, in a letter to Davie.
This outrageous lie was said by BBC News Anchor Anjana Gadjil during an interview with former prime minister Naftali Bennett. She said it was “heavily loaded with emotion and sinisterly reminiscent of the blood libel that has plagued Jewish communities over millennia.”
What a revolting accusation to hurl against a country whose military makes enormous pains to avoid killing civilians. These children? They are 17- and 18-year-old, armed terrorists who intend to harm Israeli soldiers and civilians! This is unacceptable, sir. Such an egregious fabrication is beneath journalism, let alone the BBC’s standards of behavior. We respectfully request that you immediately retract the remark and rectify Anjana Gadjil.

Disgraceful and completely unacceptable to to use language that condemns
a military without evidence of such a crime. Would she have made similar
comments if she were interviewing Rishi Sunak on the enquiry into the behaviour of British Special Forces in Afghanistan ?
It makes one wonder what do these reporters really think when at home . What does she say to her husband James Gadjil that’s a lawyer . How far left and extreme are these so called “normal “ sounding people?!
I wonder if one would interview Ms Gadjil with a question like do all Malayali people love killing children of others ? “As we all know that Malayali people can’t be trusted and that they do not know what gratitude is in spite of all their education. No matter how much you help them they will only betray and backstab you.”This is not what I say but what other Indians say.
Of course this method of questioning and attitude I so wrong but that what the BBC did. Maybe Ms Gadjil you should keep your dark thoughts for your family dinners with your 2 children
Maybe you should go back to sport reporting as it’s simple and we don’t have to listen to your ever so simple thoughts
