Brendan Whitworth News

Anheuser-Busch CEO Brendan Whitworth officially addressed the anti-trans outrage on Friday after a partnership between Bud Light and TikTok personality Dylan Mulvaney ignited the outcry.

In a statement, Whitworth said that he wants every Bud Light drinker to be proud of the company’s beverage. As the CEO of a business that was established in the American Midwest more than 165 years ago, Whitworth remarked, “I am accountable for making sure every consumer feels proud of the beer we brew.” Whitworth, however, never specifically mentioned Bud Light, the link between the company and Mulvaney, or the subsequent situation with anti-trans protesters.

“We never wanted to take part in a discussion that divides people. According to the statement, our goal is to promote interpersonal connections over drinks.

In an Instagram video, she posted on April 1 for her nearly 2 million followers, Mulvaney, a 21-year-old trans woman, and influencer, drank Bud Light from a beer can bearing her face. In the video, she promoted the company’s March Madness competition and included the hashtag #budlightpartner in the caption. The commercial film and Mulvaney’s participation outraged many proponents of anti-transgender beer, including singer Kid Rock.

Grandpa is currently engaging in a little fling. In an April 3 Instagram video, he said, “Let me express something to all of you, and I’ll try to be as plain and succinct as I can.” The video also showed him firing a gun at numerous Bud Light cases before turning the camera off. “Fuck Bud Light and fuck Anheuser-Busch. The CEO of Whitworth asserts in other passages of the statement that he is “building and protecting” the company’s “history and heritage.”

I frequently travel throughout the United States, listening to and picking up knowledge from our distributors, consumers, and other people, he said.

In contrast to Whitworth’s claims, Anheuser-Busch stated last week that it works with “hundreds of influencers” across all of its brands to better connect with various demographics. We periodically produce unique commemorative cans for customers and brand influencers like Dylan Mulvaney, the spokesperson said in a statement.

Mulvaney received anti-trans criticism for more than just the Bud Light brand contract. On April 5, she made a series of pictures available online as part of an Instagram campaign for Nike’s Zenvy leggings and Alate bra. In her caption, Mulvaney referenced Nike Women and said the clothing was “perfect for workouts and everyday wear!”
