Canadian actress Brigitte Kingsley discussed her most recent film, “The Art of Christmas.” At 8 p.m. EST tonight, Saturday, December 10, it will air on Great American Family. It has been a lot of fun, and I’m quite eager. Everyone has been really supportive of us. She added, “It’s just a happy thing to be able to celebrate Christmas and family.”
She collaborated as an executive producer, writer, and actor in it, playing Liv James against Joe Towne’s Jake Hartley. Joe Towne was incredible; he’s one of the most lovely individuals you’ll ever meet, she said. Joe is truly amazing, and his charm comes across in his performance.
“I am quite delighted with it,” she said, “because this is the first time I got to do all three: write, produce, and star in it. Working with his director husband Andrew Cymek was a real delight for me. He is a pleasure to work with every time.
The synopsis is as follows: When her most recent gallery exhibit nearly burns to the ground, struggling artist Liv James (Brigitte Kingsley) accepts a job as a teacher at a nearby elementary school to help make ends meet.
This movie also stars Kelly Kruger and Emmy-winning actor Darin Brooks. Kingsley thought Darin and Kelly were outstanding. Their on-screen chemistry is amazing. This resistance to changing occupations helps her discover who she is and gives her a new sense of purpose.
Writing and performing in the present era, according to Kingsley, is “so much fun; it’s amazing what we have access to these days.” Because technology is so widely available, I think it is becoming easier for people to investigate all of these different topics.
