Over a year has passed since a man killed five young children at a Muskogee home. It is alleged that Jarron Deajon Pridgeon shot the kids, their mother, and his brother. Some of the children belonged to him.
She claims that she allowed Pridgeon to see his children when he stopped by during his journey to Texas. She claims that much of the evening is a haze, but the last thing she recalls is that he assured her that “he’d never hurt her” before snapping seconds later.
She claims that after shooting her in the head, he then shot his brother and her five children.
“I was in and out of consciousness, but I knew that I was attacked first,” she claims. “I just recall the paramedics arriving, and I can still see how shocked they were when they announced, “We have deceased youngsters in here. It wasn’t until that Friday, while I was in the hospital, that I realized it. Just now, I started crying.
Her five deceased children were all under the age of ten. And then I found out that two of my kids had been shot twice, she continues.
Anderson claims that a year later, she is in pain and guilty.
“Just seeing five caskets of my babies laying there, when I feel like it should be the other way around,” the woman added. They ought to have interred me. Five children shouldn’t need to be interred. I feel like I should have accompanied them, thus I have survivor’s guilt.
She says it feels impossible to achieve normalcy without her babies and she doesn’t want anyone to forget about them.
Anderson has three living children who currently reside with her grandparents.
