Elise was a talented and admirable professional who was meticulous in her work. She was a fantastic representative of the community, particularly in Mount Vernon, where she was raised.

Above all, Elise was a fiercely loved and dedicated wife to Graig Henriques, a photojournalist at WCBS, and mother to her daughter Grace.

Elise died in a neighbourhood hospital. It is unknown what caused the death.

Who Is Elise Finch?

Elise Finch is a Georgetown University alumna who graduated with a degree in science. She graduated from Syracuse University with a master’s in broadcast journalism.

She worked behind the scenes at E! Entertainment Television before joining the CBS Network.

In 2012, she was given the Denzel Community Service Award.

Finch was quite active in her neighborhood. The Westchester Library System, the Mount Vernon High School Hall of Fame, the JDRF Walk for a Cure, and the Alzheimer’s Association of Greater New Jersey were among the organizations she emceed for.

She belonged to both the National Association of Black Journalists and the American Meteorological Society.
