Heidi Ueberroth Career
She was born in the nation and is the daughter of American business magnate and former MLB commissioner Peter Ueberroth. After completing her education at Vanderbilt University, where she earned a degree after years of dedication in the classroom, she nearly immediately began working for her family’s business.
Because her family had been deeply involved in sports management and other businesses since she was a young child, she was able to effectively manage and carry out her obligations.
Her father, Peter Ueberroth, was the commissioner of Major League Baseball from 1984 until his resignation. He then held the position of head of the United States Olympic Committee for four years, from 2004 to 2008. In 1999, he invested $820 million in a group of investors that also included Clint Eastwood and Arnold Palmer to purchase the Pebble Beach golf course.
The Ueberroth Family Charitable Foundation, which belonged to her family and was established in the early 1990s, was under Heidi’s direction. Later, she rose to the position of Director of Sales and Marketing at Ohlmeyer Communications Sports & Entertainment Properties as well as ESPN/Capital Cities. She then sought several opportunities before joining the National Basketball Association in 2004 as Director of International Media Programmes.
Three years after being designated Vice President of International Television, she was named Senior Vice President of International Television & Business Development in 1999. After demonstrating credibility and the necessary leadership skills, Heidi was promoted to the position of Executive Vice President of Global Media Properties & Marketing Partnerships in 2000. Six years later, the National Basketball Association promoted her to the position of President of Global Marketing Partnerships & International Business Operations.
Nevertheless, she resigned from her post and in 2013 joined Santander Consumer USA Holdings Inc. as an Independent Director. At the moment, Heidi Ueberroth is the head of the private investment company Globicon. She graduated from Vanderbilt University and currently serves as a trustee for the Cancer Research Institute.
