Karen Salkin Career
In 1981, Karen received her first acting job in the television series “House Calls” as Julie Hockhouser. Karen began her career by working for a circus. She has made guest appearances on a number of talk shows, including The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson in 1983. She played Ms Seraph in the 1984 episode of “The Fall Guy” on television. She received a significant recurring role in the 1989 season of “Open House” as Lucille Ball, which she continued to play through 1990. She played Audrey in the Life Goes On television series the next year. She played Mrs. Frazer in the 1992 film “Together,” which served as her breakout performance. Two years later, in 1994, she played another significant role in the film “The Other Man.”
Her role as Emma May Crawley in the 2005 film “Brothers in Arms” was credited to her. Her most recent appearance was in the TV series Kaplan’s Korner in 2018 as an auditioner. She is also well known for being the acclaimed host of the reality cooking program “Karen’s Restaurant Review.” Karen is well-known for her political talk show “Talkback” with Fred Wallin.
