Alphabet announced on Tuesday that Ruth Porat would leave her position as chief financial officer to assume the position of president and chief investment officer.
In 2015, she was appointed CFO of Google, where she handled the changeover to the organization’s current Alphabet structure.
She will stay on as CFO until Alphabet names a replacement, the business said, and she will continue to answer to CEO Sundar Pichai.
