Who Is Danny Polo Detective -: On June 22, an undercover cop named Danny Polo showed up in court wearing a mask to testify in the murder case against rapper YNW Melly. The witness is a gang expert who works for the Broward Sheriff’s Office.

Given that the investigator had received death threats from individuals unrelated to Melly’s prosecution, John Murphy, the Broward Circuit Judge let Danny testify while keeping his face hidden. One jury, however, contended that Danny’s disguised face might be able to deny the defendant his right to a fair trial.
In addition, a petition was just created on change.org that was directed toward Danny and the BSO. Jeff Brown created the petition, which urged that the Broward Sheriff’s Office stop imprisoning innocent people and fabricating stories about them in order to destroy their careers. It further stated that the police were accusing innocent persons of murder.
The originator of the petition highlighted Danny Polo and stated in all caps that he was to blame for all of the unfounded claims.

According to Jeff Brown’s petition, BSO officers are accusing innocent people of crimes like Rico and getting away with it. He continued by saying that their neighborhood needed the police to start upholding the law and cease making wrongful and illegal arrests.
According to Jeff, many innocent people have been imprisoned on false charges of crimes they never committed. However, the police lied on the paperwork for the arrest. He charged that the police had forced these defenseless people to part with their hard-earned cash to pay for bonds and solicitors.
The petition also demanded a change in the Deerfield Beach neighborhood, where Jeff Brown said that undercover cops would photograph locals going about their daily lives.
However, the police later accuse them unjustly of using drugs. The BSO officers have been charged with breaking into the homes of innocent individuals. According to Jeff, these officers have detained 24 people on Rico’s accusations. The petition was started since no one was volunteering.

Danny connected YNW Melly’s membership in the Bloods branch known as G-Shine with it during his testimony.
“There are hundreds of pictures of him with other Bloods,” Danny said.
The Broward County Judge was provided with two jury notes following Danny Polo’s initial court appearance while wearing a mask. The defense and state attorneys each received a copy of the notes. The court-approved facial masking technique was specifically mentioned in the first email, whereas the second note expressed a more emotive and implicit disagreement.
When the topic of why Danny gets to visit everyone but nobody gets to see him was raised in court, defense attorney David A. Howard read the message aloud. The next note stated:
“I need a moment. I can’t listen properly. When I was a child, I saw someone get robbed and I am having an anxiety attack.”
During a break, lead prosecutor Kristine Bradley argued that it was unclear if Danny Polo’s testimony regarding gang violence or the witness’s disguise had angered the juror. The first note from the juror was clear, according to David Howard.
Attorneys had to choose whether to ask Danny to take off his mask during his testimony or to continue the trial once the juror had recovered from her anxiety attack. Danny testified while wearing a mask, which caused some controversy.
Danny Polo’s legal team had previously objected to him being allowed to testify while having his face shrouded in black. The court, however, overruled the objection. Other Atlanta-area courts had in the past let the undercover officer give his testimony while donning a mask.
